Cross Border Trade Symposium organized held at Chitwan on 16th July, 2014

On 16th July, 2014, a 'Cross Border Trade Symposium' was organized by the Consulate General of India, Birgunj in association with the Chitwan Chambers of Commerce and Industries. The symposium was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Ranjit Rae, the Indian Ambassador to Nepal. Indian side who attended the symposium were inter alia Commissioner of Customs, Patna; the Additional Commissioner of Customs, Lucknow; Consul General, Birgunj; and the Consul (Commerce), CGI Birgunj. Nepalese side was represented by the Chief District Officer of Chitwan, the DIG (APF), the President, the Vice President and the Past President of the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The executive members of Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industries were also present. The audience, which was more than 200 in numbers, consisted mostly of industrialists, traders, importers and exporters of Chitwan and its adjoining areas. Some Indian trade representatives were also present.
