Handing over of Ambulances by CGI, Birgunj on the occasion of India's Independence Day (15th August, 2013)

The 67th Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the CGI, Birgunj on 15th August, 2013 and was attended by over 900 persons comprising Indian nationals, PIOs as well as Nepalese well-wishers. Many dignitaries including Chief Divisional officers, senior Police officers, and representatives of foreign office in Parsa, Ex-CA members and prominent political leaders and distinguished citizens were present during the celebration.

 

The CG, after hoisting the National Flag, read out the President’s address in Hindi. In keeping with our tradition, the Indian Consulate handed over 6 ambulances and 1 bus gifted by the Government of India to certain Nepali institutions located within the jurisdiction of Indian Consulate.

 

This was followed by presentation of cultural programme by the students of Schools and colleges of Parsa and Bara districts.
