The Consulate General of India, Birgunj today donated five ambulances on the occasion of India's Independence Day, in keeping with the tradition followed by the Consulate since its inception in 2004. The beneficiaries have been drawn from a huge list of applications and the facility is extended to the neediest, considering the development of the area from where requests have been received and the distance that residents have to travel to access medical facilities. The recipients of Ambulances on the occasion of our Independence Day are as follows:
Hardiya Health Post, Kabahigoth, Bara District Hetauda Regional Hospital, Hetauda, Makwanpur District Ilaka Health Post, Pipariya Paroha, Rautahat District Nepal Red Cross Society, Sahayog Samiti, Piple, Chitwan District College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital, Bharatpur, Chitwan DistrictThe Consulate also donated a School Bus to the Makwanpur Multiple Campus, Hetauda, Makwanpur District on this occasion. Also, books worth NRs. 40,000/- were donated to Shree Sundarmal Ramkumar Girls Higher Secondary School, Birgunj by His Excellency the Ambassador of India at the function held at Kathmandu.
