A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on December 24, 2010 by the Embassy of India, Kathmandu with the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction, Division Office, Chitwan and Shree Triveni Barah Secondary School, Mugling, Chitwan for providing Govt. of India grant assistance of NRs. 4.39 crores for construction of three storied building and provision of furniture for the school under Nepal-India Economic Cooperation Programme. This is the sixth development project in the Chitwan District being undertaken with the assistance of Govt. of India.

An oversight committee comprising representatives from the local development and administrative authorities have been constituted to ensure community participation in overseeing the projects for their effective and timely implementation.
India recognizes the importance of accelerating economic rehabilitation and development in Nepal and remains committed to render all possible assistance in that direction. India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme has an outlay over NRs 5700 crores with more than 385 large and small projects completed or currently being implemented in all districts of Nepal in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure development. These development projects have been undertaken in response to local needs and in partnership with the Government of Nepal. These projects reflect the commitment of the Government and the people of India to work together with the people of Nepal in their stride towards peace and development. Government of India looks forward to implementing many more such initiatives in association with the Government and people of Nepal.
